OK - for the few uninitiated, please review the how-to's on a wimp drop before reading about wall drops: intnldiehards.boards.net/thread/3/wimp-drops-wd-workWall drops are just like wimp drops but instead of using an MG or sandbag, you use the portable wall. Now here's the most important thing about wall drops: the first person to attack the drop MUST NOT kill the wall. Kill everything except the wall. Due to a loophole in the programming, the first person to kill a drop determines what troops are sent back. As such, it doesn't then matter what the landowner kills as the troops have already been sent back to the dropper. Walls are expensive and time-consuming as hell to repair, which is why it is critical that if you come across a wall in a drop, you do not take it out. But they also dramatically increase the sp for the person being dropped on so it's a worthwhile pursuit. Ideally, the person doing the wall drops will have someone following them to take out the drops immediately and avoid any possibility that the walls get taken out. The droppers army (or rather the wall that remains) gets returned to them right away. As such, you only need about three walls to begin dropping. If you have someone waiting to take them out, you simply collect your armies then return to drop again. So there is the wall drop! Make the most use you can out of them!

Yep, so don't get pegged as a "wall-killer", or you probably won't see any on your outpost.

here's a question then: if someone hasn't cleaned the wall drop, and the landowner jumps right in and defeats it, does the wall return as damaged?

Nevermind, I think you spoke to that in the third paragraph.

I didn't mention that directly but if the landowner is the first to kill the wall, then it is killed and will need repair. But most of us know to wait for a drop to be killed by a fellow Guilder so this shouldn't be an issue.
The bigger challenge is to make sure everyone is aware to avoid wall Armageddon!
