I'd have to say that having r6 wimps has become far less important in being effective in a BS, while having r6 Plartys is almost essential now.
Perhaps there is still a need for wimps as part of one's growth in the game at the earliest stages, but even then, having about 30 Plarty's along with as equally strong number of r6 EFs are probably the most important instruments for success in any missions in which they can be deployed.
While I sadly couldn't participate in the most recent BS, there has not been a BS in the past 5 or 6 anyway where I needed to engage in the wimp grinds of yore.
That said, while r6 wimps are not needed in BS so much, they are obviously instrumental in WDs so each guild member does need to have them, and best to always accept new recruits with them already on hand.
Finally, should we consider making r6 Plarty ownership a requirement for new members as well?
Look forward to your thoughts!

Preliminary survey results indicate half respondents have R5 or R6 Plarty and EF. Based on my experience, and similar experiences from others, I think it would at least mark a person for admission to the guild.
I would advise all to start pushing for those units before they become obsolete. Do note that the road to R6 is a long one. I went R5 to R6 on my Plarty in the Trip SP event.
