It's time for a discussion on what we expect the new minimum standards to be for inclusion in IDH.
Currently the BS minimum is 100K. For many of us who have been in the Guild for the past year or longer, this is a ridiculously easy target to achieve using the massive build up of tier 10 hardware and purchased BS units. Let alone being able to do this on resource donations alone in some cases!
However, as we agree that recruitment needs to be amped up, what should we be expecting of new recruits?
If we decide that "new to us, but not new to the game" is the way to go, we should then expect rapid recruitment growth to be very challenging to achieve given the fierce competition for talent that is likely taking place out there among a rapidly dwindling fan base. The Z2 Forums are full of comments regarding the loss of critical experienced players. I haven't visited the Forum recruitment page, but past experience there has shown most posting result in offers to merge rather than messages from new potential members. And opens us up to poaching ourselves as already experienced.
If we are open to recruiting new or early developing players to the game, we can't then expect them to achieve such a target. But capturing someone who is new to the game could bring that fresh blood enthusiasm resulting in a potential member for life. Presumably, we can use the proposed Guild mentorship program to allow for someone to cover off the points gap and thereby allow for new player recruitment.
Perhaps an answer lies in length of time in the Guild? Young recruits need to meet 100K (or gap fill by mentor), between 6-12 months need to hit between 100-200K. Over a year, need to meet the minimum tier 10 points as set out by Canadianty before each session?
Finally, if we do pursue a merger opportunity, this usually implies a need to absorb their weakest players as well. Would need a plan to deal with this eventuality should we find the right minded guild to join with us.
Welcome all thoughts!

I am always on board with new to the game members as long as the expectations are set that they will grow rapidly and listen to advice from other members who have been playing for a long time. If this can't be guaranteed, I would prefer to see a slow growth with only key recruits so as to maximize our chances to hit higher tiers.
I would like to see the min be higher for the 6-12 month members. They should easily be able to hit 300k. Especially if they ask for help/assistance via drops, advice, etc. EF's and Plarty's at least at R4 can put that up as long as they have enough of them to keep going through the BS.
I would much rather see an absorption than a merger. IDH needs to stay intact and keep full control.

It would be nice to absorb as many high scoring players as we can, but I'm ok with weaker players as long as they are working hard to rank the key units, and we all need to know who needs help so we can give them drops and advice.

IDH, Respectfully, IMO before we can align on minimums for existing members and designate minimums for recruits, I think we need to agree on what our goals are within BN what is important to us. Perhaps if there are several different goals, we attempt to prioritize them.
I sometimes see reference to wanting to 'be a Tier 11 guild'. What is it about Tier 11 that we want? Status? That second Tier 10 reward? For those of you at L 70, how often do you use previous T10 units? I am L 34, and even if I had two of them, I don't know that they make my BS lineup. Certainly not my PvP line up at this point.
I would rely on Canadiantly for the stats, but what is our return on that Tier 11 grind that has become such an issue? (Let me take a moment here to acknowledge what a great job Canadiantly does and how much I personally appreciate his/her efforts during events!!!)
Meaning, how many points do we need to grind out for a second Tier unit? Is it worth it?
I am NOT saying I do not like the BS, or I do not like BN, or I do not want those rewards... just perhaps I don't see reward in line with that effort to such an extreme that I would want to cut members or dissuade adding new members that cannot guarantee 400K or 500K.
Who even knows when the next BS will be? It is clear that BN, although only a game, is in turmoil. If the game can get back on course, I think the guild will be fine.
Before we structure the guild into a BS Tier 11 machine, maybe take it slow and see what develops... guild wars, PvP, missions, better arena challenges, better invasion events.
Maybe my perspective is totally skewed because I have chosen to meander at lower levels and play somewhere between occasional and often, but not really close to always. Let's try and keep some of the fun and camaraderie in IDH.

Well I guess my answer would be that if we are okay with Tier ten that I might just cut off my effort a lot earlier as it seems many are benefitting from the efforts of the top ten or so.

I say we push for 250k. In the future we can benchmark 1M once we have more consistent contributors.

I will stay with IDH, regardless of how we morph in the future. Seems to me to be very difficult to get experienced players to switch guilds, so any future growth appears dependent upon new recruits. The comment on T-10 v 11 is quite interesting destructovan. But the fact is that the BS is the reason I keep playing, and I play to win. I do not think we should give up on T-11.

Development of players is a good plan while BN get's it act together. I have not reached the million mark yet. A good goa to reach. I only reach 600k thanks to legend Worms. I bought. Non - purchased units are slower to develop.

Very disappointed in the lack of responses to these treads.

Well boards like this are old Internet technology. Most new internet user have never used boards. We need to focus on how to make guild better. In terms of unit types and numbers. Getting members to level 70.

I've long held that most tier 10 prizes sit on the shelf as few have really had the same type of firepower as the special BS units you can purchase.
That said, it is far more worthwhile ranking up 2 units than 1. Ultimately, I am happy just to hit tier 10, but always willing to to go all in for tier 11.
And in terms of Guild prestige, the truth is that the invasion and arena type events are the only ones which offer any type of bragging rights to the broader BN community.
And it's been typically these events where there has been a bigger split in the ranks with respect to application of effort. Some hate them with a passion, and others like me would love to see IDH crack that top 100.
However it's not really clear what direction these latter events are taking in the future. But whatever form they do take, it would be freaking sweet to see IDH crack that top 10. It may be that we have to start discussing minimum expectations to achieve the public glory, than the self-satisfaction we can take as a guild in achieving tier 10 or even 11 in a BS.

This is a great point, Lord Nevik. It seems that a lot of people don't care about the invasions at all. I think they offer us a good opportunity to see how we are doing with respect to all the other guilds. I want to compete, and I don't expect us to be number one in such a competitive environment, but I certainly think we should be in the top 50.
